This is the LG VX8300 to PC data cable and software that works!
Be sure to load the drivers first using PL-2303 Driver Installer.exe. Then get the latest version of the BITPIM phone manager software from the IE screen and load it instead of the older version on the SuperCD.
The BITPIMlets you backup all your phone's contact list and other data. It's great to move in the walpaper, ringtones and many other features on the CD.

Cable works great and there was far more software (ring tones mostly) than I expected - would not hesitate to buy from this vendor again.

THIS WAS JUST MORE THAN I REALLY EXPECTED.YOU CAN ACTUALLY ADD STUFF TO YOUR CELL PHONE FROM IT ONLINE AND BACKUP YOUR ENTIRE PHONE DATA.SO IF YOU LOSE ANYTHING,YOU CAN DOWNLOAD IT RIGHT BACK TO YOUR CELL PHONE.PLUS THERE'S OTHER GREAT STUFF ON THIS TO DOWNLOAD TO YOUR PHONE.

I bought this package about 1.5 yrs ago. It is confusing and difficult to set up. It's a little less difficult to use. I tried to use it in the last month but couldn't get it going. I emailed the business for help. It's been over a month without a response. Also the first data cable they sent me was bad. They sent me a new one ok but from their response I gathered that the cables are often bad.
