TracFone Wireless Digital Prepaid PlanBinding: Wireless Plan
It's Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttttttt [Posted on 2008-03-10] I've been using Trac-fone for 3 to 4 years now and I love it!! No contracts, no bull!! I can add airtime just by entering my personal info and it's there. Or go online and bingo, there it is with noooooooo hassles to buy a better, more expensive plan. I have yet to get the camera phone, which is my next choice. Got great service the one time I had to call about my voice mail, which I set up wrong,LOL's.Just wish they spoke more understandable english, which is why I love the instant add-on or the online site. Would not ever get a contract again, can't afford another monthly bill with all kinds of extra charges. Best idea was "the double minutes, one time service,so, no matter how many minutes I buy, I get double, just great for me,as a casual user, very good reception,etc..I am very pleased with them and very willing to recommend them.....I use it daily, but, don't use it constantly, works out great for me.............
dropped service twice in 3 months [Posted on 2008-04-01] Yes, I loved my tracfone when I first bought it too. But that was 2 years ago and now I've had nightmares. Twice I have gone to use my phone and I didn't have any minutes left and the date of end of service was 01/01/01. The day before I had over 300 minutes and another month to go on my end of service date. And the customer service is HORRIBLE!!! You can not understand them, had to ask them to repeat, could hear many conversations in the back ground, and they were only going to give me 100 minutes, instead of anything close to the 300. I told them they were stealing from me because I had more minutes than 100 and they didn't have any record of my minutes or end of service date. They did end up saying they were going to give me 250 minutes. They gave me the codes and twice they were invalid. I was on the phone for 45 minutes. Until they finally got an valid code, then he said he was giving me 500 minutes. What a waste. I only have 30 days before I have to go through all this again with buying more minutes. Only to have the fear of going through this AGAIN!! No thanks! Once the time runs out. I'm switching to another prepaid phone company. Sound like T-mobile is what I need. And the comment about other cell phone companies writing the negative comments, they don't need to, their service is much better than tracfone.
Tracfone great for occasional use [Posted on 2008-06-15] I live in the UK but come to the US several times a year. I started using a Tracfone about five years ago and have had great service. You can call the UK (and several other countries) for the same price as a US call. They work all over the US (but not everywhere, best on the coasts). And they are much cheaper than using my UK cell or any of the US pre-pay plans. I have called customer service twice in five years and got the problem solved both times. It helps if you are patient, and always ask for a credit on your phone for the call time, you will get extra minutes.
It works great for me. [Posted on 2008-07-16] I have read quite a few reviews on how bad the cust service is.Maybe I just got lucky, but my experiance was very positive.I even had someone who spoke fluent english. They switched my old cell phone # to my new Tracfone with no problems. So far I am very pleased with the service and my phone the Motorola W370. A friend of mine travels quite a bit, and has been with Tracfone for years. Say's he hasen't had any problems with the service or the coverage.
decent service [Posted on 2008-07-23] Tracfone is your basic no frills service. I noticed on this website that they now offer a camera phone! How long have those been around? There are very few if any features. No mobile web, mp3, gps, pix or flix messaging. You can text message... Tracfone should offer more features on their phones, and nicer phones at that. I finally left them and went with Verizon.
