Customer Reviews:

Get a BlackBerry the first time! [Posted on 2008-08-09]
I was so excited to get the enV2. Then I got it and lost service all the time. It's great for texting, but that's about it. The signal was terrible, no one could ever hear me, and it dropped my calls ALL the time. The internet is awful, I got a few websites, and the pictures were un-viewable. I finally got the BlackBerry 8330 and I couldn't be happier. It's totally worth the extra money.

Great Phone... [Posted on 2008-09-17]
I got this phone (in maroon) after looking at the Blackberry; I didn't like the Blackberry's layout, screen size, and the fact that the only way to conveniently carry it is on a belt holster. Then the girl at Verizon showed me this one, and I loved it. I wasn't sure how I'd like a text phone since I don't have my reading glasses with me all the time. But this phone's keypad and large internal screen are perfect!

I wasn't sure how I'd like the numeric keys on the outside, as I keep it in my pocket most of the time, and one reviewer had a problem with it. But I haven't had an issue with it yet, and the keys are BIG, and easy to see in any lighting conditions.

Pros:
Sound is great, and I love the GPS Navigation software; you can locate places near you by name, or type in an address and save and/or get voice directions to it.

Internal "QWERTY" keypad is easy to use, and for someone who hasn't texted that much in the past, I've found it's a piece of cake. No more fumbling for the right key combinations, or forgetting which letters correspond with which numbers on a numeric pad.

The internal screen is big, and easy to read. Even the maps for the GPS are easy to see.

Reception has been great, even inside buildings and elevators. Here in Phoenix, we seem to have good luck with Verizon, better than other carriers in that respect.

Easy to use voice commands to speed dial or request a specific number, whether using a headset or not.

Cons:
This phone is a little heavier than most; not bad, but because it's short, you have to be careful if you're holding it against your ear using your shoulder and not your hand. Then again, Bluetooth compatability makes this a moot point. The clamshell phones are lighter and because they're not straight when opened, make it easier to do this.

A little difficult to read in bright sunlight, but step into the shade and you're okay. Here in Phoenix, I've yet to find anything that works well, considering how intense the sun is.

I'd like to see "waypoint" navigation added to the GPS, like on a regular Garmin or other GPS device. If you ask for your current location or any other, it gives the Longitude/Latitude; I wouldn't think it too difficult to let you type in co-ordinates to search for, or set waypoints as you're traveling, whether on foot or in a vehicle. Maybe they'll have a software upgrade in the future?

All in all, it's a great phone, and well worth the price if you get it with a calling plan.

Moving away from the "Super Phones" [Posted on 2008-10-01]
I have been around the block with cell phones. I have had virtually every cell phone that Verizon has to offer from their free phones to the Voyager. I just recently changed back to Verizon from AT&T. I have had the iPhone. Some of the major bonuses that the EnV2 has to offer:
-Full QWERTY keyboard for texting
-Outside screen and predictive text when you need to shoot off a quick message.
-Decent speed on the operating system.
-Loud ringtones
-Great battery life
-Rubberized back

Some features that aren't so great:
-It looks like a calculator from the outside.
-The front screen is somewhat small and low quality.
-Slow internet service
-Even with screen protectors, the keyboard scratches easily.

Overall, this is a very good phone. I have been extremely happy with this phone (which says a lot). The texting may get a while to get used to because of the QWERTY keyboard, but it is a good phone. Overall phone quality is excellent and the messaging features are a big bonus. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for a good phone with excellent messaging services.

Awesome phone - perhaps the best phone I've owned [Posted on 2008-10-04]
I've enjoyed this phone, which is a departure from most cell phones I've ever owned. I've never been satisfied with any phone I've purchased until I ordered this from Verizon.

I won't take up any more space as most of the reviews have done an excellent job of listing the positive talking points about this phone..

LG env2 phone [Posted on 2008-10-05]
I recently purchased 2 phones with a family plan. Free, after mail in rebate. It has decent call quality and tons of features. The candy bar facing is unique to other phones. But, the surprise is when the full keyboard opens. Check out: WWW.LETSTALK.COM
