Customer Reviews:

great but delicate [Posted on 2008-10-06]
I have used Bluetooth earpieces since they first came out. Most recently, the Motorola H700, 3 different units. The jawbone 2 is excellent, except for the fact that the over ear piece is very fragile.

Fit and Audio Quality Compromised [Posted on 2008-10-06]
The concept of this Bluetooth earpiece is fantastic. However, I have returned this earphone and would not accept it for free.

The package comes with multiple ear loops and ear pieces. This is a nice gesture on the part of Jawbone.

I could not get the earpiece to fit properly against my face. This is crucial for the noise cancellation to work. Worse off, if you wear glasses or sunglasses, you will be completely frustrated at any adjustment you make to your specs as this will make the earpiece move out of place. This said, the noise cancellation will not be able to function properly.

The sound is tinny at best. It is difficult to make out who is calling by voice alone. I did find that when I could get the earpiece to fit, the noise cancellation worked rather well. However, the louder the background noise, the more your voice to your caller sounds synthesized and will occasionally break up.

The `talk' button is very sensitive. Any attempt to re-adjust your earpiece during a call in progress easily disconnects your call. This I found to be the most annoying issue with the Jawbone.

For the noise cancellation, you have no idea if it is on or off until the other end states that they are hearing a lot of background noise.

For the iPhone, which I know of, you have to answer the call using the Jawbone in order for the audio to come through the earpiece. If you answer directly on the phone, the audio will be directed through the phone.

Better Than The Last Jawbone [Posted on 2008-10-06]
Design-wise, it's better the previous Jawbone. It's slimmer and fits better on the ear. They redesigned the front so it's solid plastic with the buttons underneath, no more wire-mesh cover that felt so flimsy.

The new design for the charger cable is much better as well. With the previous Jawbone, the wire-mesh coverlet over the Noise Assassin button actually started pulling off when I would detach the charger cable. This one attaches very fluidly with these magnets that hold the Jawbone in place. Much better.

Talk clarity is approximate to the last iteration Jawbone, as far as I can tell. I do think the incoming sound on the earpiece is a little crackly, but compared to other Bluetooth headsets, it's a vast improvement. And outgoing sound, from what I've been told, is very good, not crystal-clear, but much better than average.

It pairs easily enough with any phone, even with the Playstation 3 (you can use it to chat in multiplayer).

Solid performance, and nice fit.  [Posted on 2008-10-07]
To me, this is one of the best bluetooth I ever owned. Good sound quality, and good fit in the ear. The other party also have no problem of hearing me.

Not as Good as the first [Posted on 2008-10-09]
My original Jawbone eventually turned up missing and I purchased the newer model.
Fit and build quality is much better then the first model.
But,
Battery Life is much lower
Mic sound cancelation is very poor
Earpiece sound cancelation is also poor making it hard to hear the caller.

I am very disappointed in this model.

If I had to choose again, I would buy TWO of the original's then this newer model and skip this new model.
