Piece of Junk - it is NOT for Cingular 8125 (they misrepresented the truth!) [Posted on 2008-02-28] I have the Cingular 8125 and, of course, lost the two that originally came with the phone. This stylus was advertised as being a replacement for the Cingular 8125. The reality is that it might well fit the other cell phones, but I believe the seller just tagged it with the names of a bunch of cell phones in hopes of getting a "hit." This stylus sort of fit the first time, then when I pulled it out, the metal tube part seemed to contract? or something happened, and so the next time I put it in, it was too thin and just slid right out - no more attempt at being a snug enough fit to stay inside. I might as well have tried to stick a skinny wooden toothpick in the slot! It just kept falling out and I kept trying to wedge it back in.
Eventually I got disgusted with it and threw it away, vowing never to buy any more from this vendor (lucky for them I bought my battery at the same time and it's fine, but I wasn't going to spend more postage to ship this thing back for less money in refund then the postage would cost!).
I noticed a reviewer said it worked fine for his phone, different make and model, so more power to him if it works. But if you have a Cingular 8125, this isn't going to work, sorry... and I'm not going to suck up at the Cingular/AT&T store to buy a new packet of stylusi (styluses? what is the plural of "stylus"?) for $19.95 when the phone is ALREADY obsoleted. PFFFth (That new T-Mobile Sidekick is looking better all the time.).
On the positive side, we do have a touch screen on this phone so not having a decent stylus has been highly motivating for me to grow my fingernails longer and I can use my fingernail as a stylus! WOOT!
As it is now, I use an antique Belkin stylus I used with my old Palm i705 (does this make me really old?), and it sticks out about an inch past the bottom of my phone and looks "highly irregular", but at least it stays in the slot!
