BlueAnt X3 [Posted on 2008-05-24] Great little product for the price. This was my first bluetooth headset, so I did a lot of research and was a little unsure if it would work with my phone, the blackberry 8830 world phone, but happily it did work. In my opinion the only button that is really usable while it is in your ear is the answer call/hangup button, IE the big circular button in the middle. The rest are two small to operate blindly. Luckily it is pretty easy to mute a call from my phone, so it doesn't matter that I can't easily do it from the ear piece. I tried the ear piece in several noisy locations, an Airport, driving in the car, and in a quiet office, and all times the other party said they heard me just fine, and I heard them just fine. It also works great with the voice dialing feature of my phone. I don't even use the ear hook, and it stays in just fine, note though I'm no athelete, so you wont find me playing basketball with the ear piece in. In the end I am very happy with my purchase, I wanted a low priced bluetooth earpiece that worked with my phone, that would answer calls, hangup calls, mute calls if it was too loud where I was, and that did some level of background noise cancellation for a newbie introductory price, and that had a relatively good standby and talk time, and except for having to activate mute from my phone I got what I wanted.
Nice sound and Comfy [Posted on 2008-06-20] It have what I was looking for: Small size, nice quality sound with no echo, and a long battery life.
But something that I was misunderstood for some reason is that the connects to the computer or a car outlet is just for charging. You can't use it while charging. Hope this helped
Blueant is amazing. [Posted on 2008-09-01] My friend told me about Blueant. I saw this is and fell in love with it. Though I think I will get the more expensive headset when I get a ps3, but I never had a problem with this product, and it's sharp looking to. My girlfriend now owns it and loves it to.
For BIG ears only [Posted on 2008-09-01] Great product only drawback is the ear piece is HUGE and there are no alternatives to make it work for someone with smaller ears . . .
Great headset [Posted on 2008-09-08] I have to say this is an excellent BT headset. I've owned at least 5 different ones, and this is the second best. The only one better is the $100 Jawbone. The reception is above average, a little bit below the jawbone. The fit is great, and depending on the size of your ear you can take off the loop and just put it directly in your ear. It's less obtrusive but it's not as stable, obviously. The fit is better than the Jawbone.
Unfortunately my car was broken into and somebody stole the convenient charger, it comes with the car/house/usb chargers. Luckily it charges just fine with my old sprint (sanyo/samsung) charger.
I also left it in my pocket and my wife washed it. I let it dry then turned it on and it's worked fine ever since. There is no real complaint other than the same complaints that all BT headsets get: poor range. The only headsets I've had completely acceptable range with is the Jawbone and the Motorola S8 (?). The S8, however, only had good reception when playing music. It's reception was bad with phone conversations.
